2020 Virtual AMN Refresher

AMN (Avalanche-MTR-Nordic/Backcountry) Instructor Continuing Education and Patroller Enhancement Seminar

This event is open to all Avalanche, MTR, and Nordic Instructors or ANY Patrollers looking to learn more about Avalanche, MTR, and Nordic and interested in NSP enhancement credits.  Instructors are required to attend the AMN once every three years for refresher credit.

This year we are Virtual!

Haven’t been able to travel to the AMN?  No Problem!  You can still have the campfire smoke* and bugs, but do it from the comfort of your own home!  Worried about the cost?  Including Taxes, Shipping and Handling, Insurance, and other fees, the cost is $0.00.  That’s right!  It’s FREE.

*Campfire smoke assuming you can have a campfire in your backyard.

Instructors are required to complete two components to receive credit:

1. 1. 1. Complete the Eastern Division ONLINE MOODLE SCHOOL portion which is self-paced and needs to be completed by midnight Tuesday, September 22, 2020 (watch email for access to the Online Moodle School).
      2. Attend the VIRTUAL AMN Zoom Webinar from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 26, 2020.

After registering on Patroller School, look for instructions that will arrive by email.  Refresher students will be guided through the various NSP steps required to get credit.

The Eastern Division Online Moodle School portion of AMN begins on August 10th.  Please allow ample time to log into the online courses and accomplish the three required lessons: Avalanche, MTR, and Nordic/Backcountry.
