2026 Bike Patroller School at HoliMont, NY

by the Eastern Division NSP Bike Patrol Program

at HoliMont Ski Area

This comprehensive program combines skills training, networking,

and mountain biking in a beautiful setting

HoliMont is a private resort that is providing free tickets to ride on Sunday afternoon, and the Eastern Division is grateful that their Patrol has opened their training and is generously hosting this year’s Bike Patroller School. What the HoliMont Program Offers:

• Professional development opportunities
• Hands-on skills training with certified instructors
• Networking with Eastern Division bike patrol members
• Mountain biking experience at a premier downhill bike park with miles of XC trails
• Some meals and refreshments included

PRE-PROGRAM STARTS ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11th at 5 PM for an evening “Meet & Greet” event!

On Friday evening, we will be starting with a spread of food from the local pizza shop, Tim & Bonnie’s Pizza and Subs. This is a networking opportunity to meet Bike Patrollers from across the Division and learn what other patrols are doing. Tent and RV camping is available, as well as local lodging accommodations.

PROGRAM ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12th & SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13th

For both days, breakfast is on your own. We will offer a small spread of energy bars, water, and snacks to pack in your day pack.

The main training session is on SUNDAY from 8 AM to Noon. We will divide the group into clinic options based on the preferences selected on the registration form. Instruction provided by HoliMont instructors in conjunction with Eastern Division Bike Patrol Staff.  Depending on interest, potential event clinic choices include:

• OEC Skills for Bike Patrol (outdoor)
• Bike 1 Skills (indoor, prerequisites apply)
• Wheeled Litter Enhancement Seminar (outdoor)
• Bike maintenance workshop (indoor)
• Low rope evacuation course (outdoor)
• Riding techniques for intermediate and advanced riders (outdoor)
• Summer Lift Evacuation techniques (outdoor)
• Night ride (outdoor)

Lunch at noon for the group –  we will be serving grilled burgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers with sides. Bring a dessert to pass! For the afternoon, we will break up into groups to explore HoliMont’s fantastic bike terrain.

Tent and RV camping are available through HoliMont for a $15-$25 charge depending on site and availability, payable to HoliMont. More traditional lodging accommodations are available in and around Ellicottville, NY.
