Join Us for an Exciting Two-day Patroller School

Hosted by GROC Mountain Bike Patrol

and the Eastern Division of NSP Bike Patrol Program

Held at Ontario County Park in the Finger Lakes, NY, this comprehensive program combines skills training, networking, and cross-country mountain biking in two beautiful parks

The program, which starts on Friday June 26, offers

• Hands on skills training with certified instructors
• Networking with Eastern Division bike patrollers
• Mountain biking experience at two xc trail systems
• Camping on site
• Some meals and refreshments provided

Friday, June 26, 5 pm

• Evening meet and greet/social time

Instruction Starts on Saturday, June 27

• Meet at campsite 8 am (breakfast is on your own, though we will offer a small spread of energy bars, water, and snacks
  to pack in your day pack)
• The main training session will run from 8:30 AM to Noon. We will break the group into clinic options based on the selected preferences from the registration form. Instruction provided by Genesee Valley and Eastern Division Bike Patrol Staff.  Event clinic choices include:
  – OEC Skills for Bike Patrol (outdoor, weather permitting)
  – Bike 1 Skills (outdoor location, prerequisites apply)
  – Wheeled Litter Enhancement Seminar (outdoor, weather permitting)
• Lunch at noon for the group. We will be serving grilled burgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers with sides. Bring a dessert to pass! For the afternoon, we will break up into groups to explore the mountain bike terrain in Ontario County Park and/or Hickory Ridge
• Dinner at site / social hour
• Optional night ride so bring your lights!

Sunday June 28th

• Camping check-out time is 11 am
• If you spend the night, we will be having rides in the morning.
• We may offer one additional training session on Sunday morning, depending on interest

Where to stay

• Camping at Ontario County Park, where we have reserved sites
• There are plenty of AirBNB and hotel options in Naples, NY, Victor, NY, and in the Rochester, NY area

This program is a great opportunity to learn new skills, socialize with other riders, and ride!
