FEMA IS-200 Online Course

ICS 200 is designed to enable personnel to operate efficiently during an incident or event within the Incident Command System (ICS). ICS-200 provides training on and resources for personnel who are likely to assume a supervisory position within the ICS. The Emergency Management Institute developed ICS its ICS courses collaboratively with:

  • National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG)
  • U.S. Department of Agriculture
  • United State Fire Administration’s National Fire Programs Branch

Note: IS-200.b is an updated version of the IS-200 course. If you have successfully completed IS-200 or IS-200.a, you may want to review the new version of the course. For credentialing purposes, the courses are equivalent.

When entering into the online course, read the content displayed in the center and click the ARROW buttons in the bottom of the display.  The first few course content slides will describe in detail how to navigate through the course.  The last slide leads to the TEST.

The TEST can be taken at any time.  You may also return after additional studying to take or re-take the test.  Remember that to proceed with testing; you are required to have a verified Student Identification Number.

Please check with your IOR for submitting “Certificates of Completion.”  Every NSP member is required to show proof of completion on their educational profile.  Your IOR will help direct you to the NSP Course Credit Requisition system with a course number for  receiving credit.
